How does it feel to be nominated for the iShallBe “She Inspires Me” awards?
It was a big surprise to be nominated! I am honored that someone took the time to think of me as a woman who inspires them. A lot of the time in public service careers, we’re doing thankless work. It was so nice for someone to give me the roses while I can still smell them.
What inspires you?
What inspires me are the ancestors who have come before me...people who dedicated their lives to ensuring my generation would have an opportunity to thrive. I’m also inspired when I see other women loving themselves and walking in their purpose.
